I decided to resurrect the general because it's Winter, and as we all know, games don't generally come out past early November. It's going to be a long season, and we'll need to be comfy.

I fell in love with this game and want everyone to play it who has even a remote interest in JRPG's, SRPG's, VN's, or Recettear. Also I don't see any reason for Kamidoris cast to be at Mirufe(the town IM1/IMM happens) or leave Yuidora-region, as usually the cameos have had some loose reason to be there unless they were what the fuck cases like Arterial. Alright kamg, the first time I played this game was about 2 years ago now. I was on the Yuela route (unfortunately?). I got to a battle where I was fighting against goblins, I think, and it was a very large battle where I started in the right-hand side and had to fight my way to the leader goblin in the top middle. There was some sort of gimmick in play that was going to make the whole thing very difficult, not to mention the goblins being very difficult to defeat individually. I played for a couple turns, making some tactical mistakes, and then dropped the game and never picked it back up.

My question for you: how far along was I (the plot seemed to be moving quickly to resolution) and is that battle as difficult as I remember? I can provide more plot info if anybody cares enough to want more. What are you talking about?

As long as you keep Naqua Ninja Blade, Evasive and Counterattack on Yuela she'll keep being your strongest solo-character throughout the game, being possibly the only character ingame who can do the Special M arena fight underleveled. If they can't hit her, they can't kill her. If they actually get a single hit on her, pot through it.

If you're scared, you can also give her Intimidate and Sword Flash, but like Counterattack those aren't reliable. Seeing as Naqua Ninja Blade has instant death on it, why would she need something like an elemental weapon? Sure it doesn't work on bosses, but once it cuts everything else down she can swap to a neutral weapon and just slaughter any boss one-on-one. Yuela only gets stronger in NG+, though not to the extent that Emelita does. And comparing her to a certain OP clown is. Not just.anyone.

can get it though. Before NG+ (where everyone is a level 99 perfect stat beast anyway) Yuela is the only one who can solo shit that hard. The only other character to get the skills is Emelita, whose stats are too low to actually become immune to damage.

Elf-tits only gets the cloths for it in NG+, and everyone else needs NG+-specific accessories. Yuela is basically an instant-win who can solo everything from the midgame onwards if properly built. I don't think anyone else can do that without lots of grind. Mylen is an literal baller and you should drop everything to immediately do her dungeon and recruit her once you are able too. You start it by picking up some item that appears in new game plus in the ancient battle ground. Despite the level 50 or 60 recommended level on her map the enemies are not that threatening and as long as you do holy/wind/water damage you can just power through them and level pretty quickly.

Once you have mylen you should start doing al l the new mines maps, the majority of them have various elemental weapons for a number of characters that make training or just doing the level 90 dungeons much easier. You will get fuls tear about halfway through and that is basically mandatory for high level grinding. Also the character you can recruit from the mines quests is pretty good, but is also IMMUNE to status effects which makes trying to do phema mountain way easier. NG+ quests are total arse, sadly. A horrible game design, but probably the only bad design choice in Kamidori. Frekis are much better to farm Emeralds from, but if you don't have an army of 99 stat guys then you're shit out of luck.

Farm Kankuris, once a Static one shows up, save. Have all your Ful's Mil/Tears guys nearby, kill Static Kankuri with one, no Emerald? Reload, next character.

If no Emerald, end turn - defend, make a new save, repeat killing him. Reload older save if no luck - end turn. Repeat this until you have all the Emeralds you need. Fuck no it isn't.
