Metafuze runs with Macintosh computers running Windows natively or with emulation, we currently do not have plans to introduce a version that works natively with the Mac OS. Stereoscopic side by side media has to be created in MetaFuze, correct? Metafuze is Avid's tool for preparing a variety of material for use in Avid Media Composer, and does generate side by side stereoscopic material.
Will the Video Satellite on Apple Macintosh Computers have the same features and limitations as the PC version? Will there be any differences? Video Satellite on Mac is still a feature for feature match with the PC version. Will Avid Media Composer v5 continue to use dongles? Licensing is exactly like 3.5/7.5 or 4.0/8.0 for this release. Dongles are only available for special case orders, all new systems ship with software licensing.

Customers with dongle based systems can opt to continue to use the dongle with the v5/v9 software or they can opt to decommission the dongle and use the Software licensing scheme. Is the Mix and Match feature dependent on the DNX/DX hardware? Will software-only Avid Media Composer v5 output mixed format material through the Firewire port? All the features described are included in all versions of the product - only ancillary data support is limited to Mojo DX and Nitris DX hardware.
